The Maxwell, a 40-story, 227-unit luxury residential tower, has officially opened at 111 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Developed by Triangle Equities in partnership with The Michaels Organization, the building features a mix of market-rate and affordable housing, with 69 units designated for residents earning up to 130% of area median income. The tower combines modern architectural design, premium unit finishes, and skyline-level views to create an elevated living experience in a highly accessible location near major transit lines and Brooklyn’s waterfront neighborhoods.

Amenities at The Maxwell are designed to foster community and lifestyle convenience. These include a 4,000-square-foot rooftop with grilling stations and seating overlooking Lower Manhattan, a 40th-floor lounge with coworking space and recreational features, a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, and a 24-hour attended lobby. Many units include floor-to-ceiling windows, in-unit laundry, and premium kitchen and bath finishes, with select residences offering private outdoor space.

Construction began in early 2022, and the building received its temporary certificate of occupancy in summer 2025. Leasing activity has been strong, with most market-rate units already spoken for and affordable leasing underway. The Maxwell reinforces Downtown Brooklyn’s shift toward high-end, mixed-use living environments and stands as a landmark achievement in Triangle Equities’ growing New York City residential portfolio.
