Our History

Now a fourth-generation, family-operated business, we've continued to grow not only in the size and complexity of our projects, but also in the capabilities of our firm.

1986

Founded by Lester Petracca as the real estate arm of his family's construction business, Petracca & Sons, Inc., a third generation, heavy construction general contractor that builds bridges, tunnels, roads, and municipal buildings throughout New York City and State.

1990s

Cements its place as a NYC borough-focused commercial real estate developer; awarded its first RFPs from the City.

1996

Separates from parent company, becoming an independent entity wholly owned by Lester Petracca.

2000s

Completes first market-rate residential project in the Brooklyn property The Arches at Cobble Hill; expands development presence into all four outer boroughs.

2009

Exceeds 1 Million square feet of commercial real estate developed in the New York metropolitan area with the completion of Triangle Junction, a Target-anchored shopping center in Brooklyn..

2010s

Deepens capital markets expertise through its first instituional equity partnerships and tax-credit financings, increasing development bandwidth and abilities to finance complex project; expands development presence into New Jersey.

2015

Completes first project financed with New Markets Tax-Credits (NMTC) and awarded first LEED Silver Certification with the opening of Triangle Plaza Hub in the Bronx.

2020s

Broadens development and capital markets capabilities through construction of first highrise, multi-family projects; construction of first single-family and townhome projects; and execution of first Tax-Increment Financing (TIF) and Low Income Housing Tax-Credit (LIHTC) financings.

2023

Completes first mixed-use, multi-story industrial and self-storage building in the country with the delivery of Terminal Logistics Center in Queens.

2025

Triangle delivers its first 30+ story building with the 40-story 111 Willoughby.
