National grocery brand Aldi has signed a lease for a 20,110-square-foot store at Triangle Junction, Triangle Equities’ bustling retail and community hub at 2201 Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The new location—filling a space previously occupied by The Children’s Place and David’s Bridal—is slated to open in the fall and continues Aldi’s strategic growth across New York City. The transaction was represented by Esther Bukai of Ripco Real Estate for Aldi and Peter Botsaris of Botsaris Morris Realty Group on behalf of Triangle Equities.

The deal highlights the strength and continued relevance of grocery-anchored retail amid the pandemic, as more households shift toward in-home food consumption and essential services. Aldi, which operates nearly 2,000 locations nationwide and plans to reach 2,500 stores by 2022, is known for its streamlined selection and competitive pricing model, providing value-driven grocery options for diverse urban communities.

Located within a vibrant retail mix that includes Target, HomeGoods, AT&T Wireless, and Applebee’s, the Aldi lease reinforces Triangle Junction’s role as a dynamic commercial anchor for the neighborhood—advancing Triangle Equities’ vision for accessible, community-focused retail in underserved areas.
