Triangle Plaza II
Triangle Plaza II stands as a landmark achievement in urban redevelopment through a public-private partnership between Triangle Equities and the City of New York. Selected in 1996 via a competitive RFP process administered by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC), the project transformed the site of the former Adventurer’s Inn within College Point Corporate Park into a dynamic retail and entertainment destination.
Triangle Equities secured the bid with pre-committed anchor tenants. National Amusements, Inc. took the entire second floor, while Toys ‘R’ Us took the entire first floor and subdivided into Toys 'R' Us and Kids 'R' Us spaces. The innovative design featured a multi-story, large-format retail building strategically positioned at the parcel's center, complete with accessible entrances and dedicated parking on both sides to enhance visitor convenience and flow.
