The Crossings at Brick Church, Phase I

Overview

Phase I is the first of three phases of the master-planned, transit-oriented Crossings redevelopment in East Orange, NJ and created 400 new multifamily homes and 85,000 square feet of community serving commercial uses. Construction was carefully coordinated around the existing ShopRite in the middle of the site to ensure uninterrupted access to fresh food for the community while the supermarket's state-of-the art future home is being delivered.

The project features robust community benefits, including local construction hiring, union and open-shop construction skills training, local retail hiring, streetscape beautification efforts, job creation, and support of existing retailers in the neighborhood.
